AN excellent book for children adopted by families with two women parents or for children whoes parents wish them to appreciate the diverse family types in our society.
As one of two moms of two young children, I am often challenged to find books that characterize families like mine. The Child in the Mothers' Hearts does just that. In simple prose and sweet sketches, this book tells the story of the creation of a family outside the traditional path. The message is clear--we all love our children, regardless of how they came to be with us. The illustrations are warm and welcoming. All and all, a great book for toddlers and older.
This book lovingly explains adoption. Dr. Paul Janson has written a wonderful book . I highly recomend it. This version is specificaly for lesbian couples to read to their children.
